Who are the projected starters and will our line be projected top 3 or so in the conference?

Obviously, our skill positions seem set but with a young inexperienced qb no matter I'm curious how our line stands.

Whoever knows names of starters and maybe a couple backup's/battles, specific line positions, height/weight, and star ranking if possible is truly a badass.

Thanks in advance!

replacing LG and C...some hints that Hitt may move to center, not sure about T-Bob's rehab. I would guess Blackwell is in line for a guard spot.

LT-Black, LG-J.Dworacyzk, C-TBob, RG-L.Hitt, RT-JBarksdale.

LG is between JD or Will Blackwell
C is beween TBob or Patrick Longeran
The other posistions are locked.

BTW: the line will not be in the top 5.
C.Black is a beast, L.Hitt is good and has experience, J.Barksdale is decent(struggled bad in the GT game), the rest are new people. I don't see how 2 people will make our line in the top 3 or even the top 5.

Ciron needs to get in better shape and adopt a physical attitude on the field, then he would make some real money. Hitt improved in 2008, Barksdale needs to get a rocket under his arse, just flat out unimpressive for a player with his size and ability. I would love to have that guy's physical attributes, he just didn't do much with them in 2008. Center is wide open.

The Offensive line will be very deep. That is for sure. I think it has great potential to be better than last years. Herman may have been big, but he was very overrated. Helms is the worst loss. Black is all american, Hit is seasoned, Braksdale will improve in the spring, and Josh Dworaczyki ( how ever you spell it) is gonna be a good one. Not to mention Blackwell, Hurst, Longerman, Parsons, Shaw and the freshmen are all solid prospects.

Lonergan will be the starter barring injury.

A few reasons shared with me by an insider:

1) T-Bob's rehab is going very well and with the design of spring practice this year he should be able to get a bunch of snaps in the second half of spring.

2) Lonergran is neither big enough nor strong enough to compete at this level yet.

3) Lonergran does not have a full command of the offense yet and will have difficulty calling the blocking adjustments.

I like that idea of Hitt moving to center. We need a center. He is kind of small for a guard but seems to have the agility and aggressiveness to play center. At least if it's not to late in his career to make such a move. If he were to have any shot at all of playing at the next level it would be at center.

Black and Barksdale at T, Blackwell and Dworaczyk at G, with Hitt at C.

I haven't heard how his rehab is going. Can't really comment.

But T-Bob is?

PJ is around 6'5" 300 lbs.(Bigger than T-Bob) How big do you have to be to compete at this level? He is also more than strong enough.

He must be doing something right considering he's starting come spring.

Bottom line.....I think your insider is wrong.

No way. Has Lonergan even had one single snap in a live game? T-Bob didn't even get that much playing time behind Helms and Miller. No way Miles and Stud go into the season with Lonergan as the starting Center. If T-Bob is not healthy in the Spring, expect Hitt to move over to Center. I'd make that move anyway. Let Hitt start at Center, (experienced 2 year starter) and then let T-Bob work his way back into the lineup. The Center makes all the OL calls and Hitt's experience would help there. Will Blackwell would then move into Hitt's spot at RG, with Dworaczyk at LG or vice versa. That would still be 3 new starters in the OL, which is never a good thing, especially with inexperienced QB's........

You must be a relative or friend of Lonergan (PJ reference).

Anyway, I guess April 18th we'll get a good idea which of you are correct.

Lonergan didn't even play center in high school. The reason Miles and Stud moved him to center is because he is one of the few OLinemen who is smart enough and physical enough to do it.

Miles told the recruit Ainsworth he would tranfer from a guard to a center. Probably he would red shirt so it would be for the future at center.
