Some Kaiser Soze shite. "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled, was convincing the NCAA nothing happened." It's really beyond belief that they weren't even slapped on the wrist.

It's rather amazing that this thing grew so silent. It looks like Shep Cooper & Christopher Strobel of the NCAA Committe on Infractions must have gotten a cut from $C not to put the trojans on probation.

Not to mention Bush speaking to McKnight during recruiting process, and also Leinart's father paying for his and Jarret's apartment. Can you say lift up the big old rug, grab a big fat broom, and sweep it all under that motherfricker! Really incredible, yet Bama got nailed in football, Kentucky got crushed in basketball in late eighties, and of course we got nailed for that Lester Earl shite. Auburn also got nailed in the nineties also, which cost them a chance at a National Title in 94' when they were undefeated, but on probation.

Tgr4ever it's so difficult to understand but the NCAA said they'd investigate it in 2-3 years. As a fan I try and believe hey maybe just maybe this whole USC thing is overblown.
Bull. USC gets so many breaks it's ridiculous.

He went to Curtis, Not Destrehan, However, I find it funny that He was having to Live with JT Curtis because his mom couldnt either afford him or afford to move back after the storm. Its been a few years now and im not sure of the reason, But he Lived with JT. I wonder where she is Living now and how many Games she gets to see in person on USC, or should I say "friends of the Program". I do agree he is/was a bust. I said it when he went to USC. Let him go, He couldnt hold KW's jock. Another 2nd rate athlete

This is fairly long, but has some good info - from a comment on "Four Downs: Is Lane Kiffin a fool or genius?" in Sporting News:
Superior Court Judge Joan M. Lewis set a trial date (Reggie Bush & Lloyd Lake) for March 13, 2009. She is not suffering fools lightly at this stage. She said the following to a court employee about the "participants" - "Can you go back to my chambers and knock a few heads around for me?"
Poodle may be called as a witness during the trial. Todd McNair (running backs coach)is also listed and being mentioned as a possible witness.
RB's lawyers requested a "gag order" on the trial for privacy and the judge denied the request. (This is good for all of us watching.)
One question the NCAA will have to answer is, Does RB's actions make him an "ineligible player"? If rb is ruled "retroactively ineligible" the NCAA could forfeit 'SC wins back to the 2004 season, rescind their NC and add additional sanctions. Under this scenario the Heisman would probably be lost too.
The wheels of justice spin slowly at times but it looks like the March showdown is real.
Some NCAA history:
The case of Alabama’s Antonio Langham piques my interest and sets an interesting precedent. In 1993, Alabama went 9-3-1. However, in 1995 the NCAA found that Antonio Langham had signed with an agent and received improper benefits. The NCAA then declared Lanham “retroactively ineligible” and forced Alabama to forfeit all the games in which Langham played. Interestingly, they were allowed to keep their Gator Bowl win because Langham did not participate in the game and finished 1-12.
If I was in the SEC heirarchy I’d be watching real closely to see how the “golden goose” of the PAC 10 gets handled. Langham’s transgressions compared to what’s been reported on Bush are paltry indeed.
Reggie may declare, “I didn’t sign with an agent, I was the agent oh and was starting my agency, oh ****, that’s against the rules too. I did not know... As for my car, I’m a superstar and superstars don’t drive beat up Toyota’s they drive suped up Impala’s as for the house and trips and cash blah blah blah.”
A couple of key questions will be:
Does Reggie Bush’s & his family’s actions make him an ineligible player? The answer is of course.
When it comes to USC, the questions are did they know? Or Should they have known? We’re about to see just how stupid they may claim to be. Then the NCAA will deal with them. If Bush was paid all these "benefits" then he's ineligible regardless of whether sc knew or not case closed.
PS It’s my understanding that Lloyd Lake has given all his recordings, paperwork and more to the NCAA. It took 2 years to sort out the Alabama mess. This situation is tracking along the same lines.
PSS 'SC is staring down the barrel of forfeiting 25 games, being stripped of a BCS nc, being stripped of a Heisman and more. People wonder why their hc is a little edgy.

Here is the real deal- Bush has had a new attny for several months. The very first move was the right one. Not long after the hire, they began a move toward a settlement because everything was a "distraction to Buch's personal life and professional career". I woudl expect and confidential settlement in the next few months. A court date was previously scheduled and I woudl expect that to be canceled in light of movement toward a settlement.

Both investigated. 1- nothing found
2- Jarrett ineligibe until rent was paid

You're mistaken. Hell even the official "Trojan Haters Club" knows why there won't be a trial.

There has been court date after court date scheduled. This one is not likely to happent in light of Bush's new attny moving toward a settlement.

In addition to selecting March 13, 2009 as the trial date, the Judge also ordered the parties to attend a settlement conference, and that is when the bubble is going to burst for people still hoping for the walls to come crashing down on usc
Thank you., L.A.T.
