Premise seems to be about an old white Karen who moves into a black neighborhood and constantly calls the cops on the neighbors kids playing in their yards and in the street and being loud. It doesn't show it, but based on the image below, I assume she shoots somebody and is arrested.

It's a pretty mixed neighborhood

It's Netflix so everything is minority focused, if not heavily leaning.
The white woman (it appears) created much of the problems. She should have relocated.

Yeah the race stuff is tiresome and so worn out. Still an interesting show though.

It was a very, very well done documentary. Very sad situation

Did u watch it?
You don’t feel a shred of emotion and empathy when you see a real tape of 4 children finding out their mom was just shot and killed through a door?

If kids playing outside triggered her, she’s gonna love prison.

Yeah it's sad, but I guess when I hear something is "powerful" I associate that with there being some sort of message or lesson learned. This was just a crazy lady doing something crazy.
Of note, I thought the police handled all of it pretty well, including at the early visits before it got violent.

I thought that it was a good depiction of reality compared to what you see in the media regarding life in the deep south. Its not nearly as racially divided in most places as people in the NE and left coast believe, and *gasp* not all cops are bad. Many of them are actually really good people doing an often times shitty job, and they genuinely care for the community and want to see the young people succeed. And the crazy lady was clearly a snowbird from the north, not some racist southerner.

I watched it last night and came on to post this very thing. Irrelevant to the correct or incorrect outcome, if she had just STFU from the beginning, she would have never allowed them to box her in. Like many people in the box she thought the detectives were on her side, and they did nothing but squeeze the walls tighter with each question. She had a lot of Karen behavior to overcome but in the end it would have been a she said kids said issue. The physical evidence was approachable from a defence POV. She never once mentioned the sliding glass door which could have allowed her to see who was on the other side.

STFU from the beginning,
Yep, especially after the racial tension and publicity of the situation.
When they came back the 2nd time she was doomed without a lawyer.
