With radio shack long having moved in with the dodo, is there anywhere in the BR area that sells hobby electronics parts? Like breadboards, jumper wires, servos, sensors, all that kind of stuff?

I don't know of any stores, but if you can't find one maybe look at the local "maker" groups or try to find a makerspace that might stock a few things. That's something I've had on the back of my mind for a while, starting one on my side of the river.
I usually just order from Amazon though.

Since the demise of Radio Shack I've used Jameco Electronics & Mouser.
If they have it on stock, Mouser is usually 2 day delivery. Jameco is a bit slower.

I've bought stuff from a few places online. I was just thinking/hoping maybe someone in town kept a few components in stock.

Waking up some old brain cells:
Southern Radio is now Southern Electronics . They seem to be geared more towards industrial components, but might be worth a try.
The only other one that I recall is Menard's, but they've since closed up shop.

ralphs electronics is probably the closest to a radio shack but I doubt they carry any of that. the market is small and they cant compete with online retailers in that space

That's a good lead. I'll keep them in mind

Almost sucks to type this, but the answer is AliExpress.
You'll pay 1/2 or less for the same stuff you can buy on amazon (which is option #2). You'll have to wait 2-3 weeks, but there is no such thing as a free lunch.
