USC Highest Rated

Highest rated but not enough players...is that how they evaluate classes? Is class size the difference maker?
Curious how they rank classes and curious how the PAC 10 and USC in particular always have small classes.
Any non-ranter have an answer?

Uh...look at Scouts and Rivals and ESPN.
USC has the highest ranking of all players committed...you know average stars...you do know what atars are don't you?
USC 3.9
LSU 3.7
In fact, USC is the only school EVER to be close to a 4.0 for an entire class...

Well in Pete Carroll mind they were not happy...Alot of defections....Their Program is on the downslide....Watch... Arizona ND and a few others schools got some of their best recruits..

USC gets a lot of 5 stars because they don't anyone recruiting against them. All of the SEC teams fight over the 5 stars from the south.

If they are on the downside, then Stewart Mandell at CNNSI was right...the expectations by the nation are so large for USC a top 5 class isn't good enough.

USC recruits nationally and fights for all those Southern boys too. Georgia, Florida, Louisiana...just to name a few recruits who chose USC. They also take people from New Jersey as well.
The ENTIRE nation recruits against USC, don't kid yourself.

Not to all of the formulas, but it is significant.
Would you consider a class signing one 5 star recruit at #1 in its position and overall and nothing else to be the best class of them all?

No I wouldn't, but it seems like numbers always favor Bama and Florida and for some reason Ohio State. I don't know what it is...
I would consider the class that signed the most #1 recruits at their position...not just a class full of bodies.

Bama is only 8 hundreds of a "star" behind USC despite signing 9 more players. Of course they are ahead. They have the same number of top 10 overall recruits, and more top 15 recruits. So it isn't like you can claim you are more top heavy with your smaller class size.
UF is ranked way below USC with a smaller class size AND a better star average.
Where is your evidence of the numbers always favoring these other schools?

Dude, Florida or Bama don't have a better star average.
If you look at Rivals, Scout, and ESPN USC is above all...and if you find some random ranking and average them all out
(lets say combine Rivals, Scout and ESPN) USC still comes out on top.
Not that this crap matters but back to my original point of why Bama and Florida always have like 28 scholies to give???

Never claimed Bama did and UF does according to Rivals (the only recruiting service I follow outside of ESPN....Scout is too spotty IMO)

ultimately these class rankings don't mean anything, other than to tell you that those programs consistently in the top 10 will be competing for championships. if you truly want to rank classes you'd do it 3 years later. rankings are a marketing tactic, much like pre-season magazine rankings.

Yeah, because we were 30-40 point favorites in those games to make the situations compariable.
The problem with your logic regarding why we went: It wasn't about the losses...it was what the team did with the wins that pushed us over the edge.

USC does not fight with any conference schools.
2! count them, 1, 2 - PAC 10 schools pulled in top 25 class.
10! YES, 10 SEC schools pulled in top 25 classes according to ESPN.
Your conference is a joke and the top recruits know it. SC is the only school worth considering.
