Subtle brag. I have an old Martin. ‘73. It’s a D35. I changed the strings as normal and the B string has a shimmery almost 12 string sound to it. Only the B string.
Going to replace them today. What else can it be?

Possibly the nut slot. Is the action really low?

Nut Slot would be a good band name

Try some graphite on the nut. See if it improves. Go from there.

Brass nut. Has never been an issue before. Gonna change strings.

I would look at that nut slot closely while I'm doing the change. Brass is a pretty soft metal.

Change that one string if it's the only problematic one... or enjoy the 12 string effect
