According to them, we should feel guilt over actions that happened 2 centuries ago, and also pay reparations to those who have been incapable of creating a decent life in almost 10 generations in the land of opportunity. Just a few more dollars to blow on cokes, McDs and lottery tickets and they will make it, trust.
I have a family tree that goes back to the 1700s by my front door, mostly NOLA to Mobile area. Im proud of my ancestors.
Evidently, none of them ever listened to Charlie Daniels... the souths gonna do it again

Why? So they can manipulate and control? No thanks! F that!

Guilty? Lol I spend half my time day dreaming about what we could have done different to win. Endless what ifs ans could have beens. The U.S. Federal Government has turned into an unfathomable monster of wasteful rot and spending.

People whose families came here in the mid 1900s, spent their whole time in the US in NYC or LA, they dont have roots here. To them, the US is some liberal experiment on what a progressive nation can look like. Those who have longer roots from the north just go with the social flow, they want to be part of the "in" crowd
I wont pretend the Confederacy wasn't imperialist - they fully believed in manifest destiny and desired western/south american expansion. But what a better world that would be. These leftist retards think its better to subject their kin to being the colonized rather than be the colonizer if those are the only options.

Liberals have psychotic white guilt. They revel in it. It’s the downfall of western civilization.
Notice how they don’t expect any other race or culture to have ancestral guilt. Only white people, and only for slavery.

They always fail to mention how it was the evil white man who banned slavery first. Africa, Middle East, Asia, even Russia with Serfdom all kept slaves much longer.
But frick us I guess

One of the comments in the Reddit thread said 1/3 of southerners had slaves. Which seemed like an impossible number.

They don’t know and don’t care. It’s psychotic suicidal white guilt.
Part of the reason they don’t expect any other race to feel such guilt and self-hatred is bc they don’t hold other races to their same high ideals. That whole soft bigotry of low expectations thing.

None of them have any problem with the cultural appropriation and gentrification of carpetbagging the south during reconstruction. Thats only a problem 8 generations later if a white man buys property in a shithole part of a city and cleans it up.

Same here. I read about it a lot and it’s like watching a movie over and over again that you already know the ending but you’re just hoping maybe this time it could be different.
But it’s only halftime. We’ll get ‘em in the second half!

Of course, dont you know about the noble savages? They are the white saviors for them.

We are reaping the conclusion to this day. Our cities are ruins, endless murder, poverty, ignorance, theres no end to the reaping of the crop of slavery. It was done all wrong, only Radical Abolitionists wanted the end we got, which doomed us all.
Slavery was going to end soon anyway.

Lincoln and the Prize Cases is the most overlooked SCOTUS case of all time. He created the imperial presidency with that case. But of course, he is a great man for causing the most bloodshed in our nations history.

Probably not much longer than it wound up ending anyway. The Civil War turned out to be the ultimate pissing match. We were two countries then, even more so now. I just want a divorce.
What we have now is a house of cards, eventually we wont be able to print enough money.

Well, it had already ended in the British Empire, without bloodshed, with the Crown essentially buying out the slave owners. It was already doomed in the rest of North America by the industrial revolution.

Seeing the civil war ended right at 100 years before I was born I'm curious as to what I'm supposed to feel guilty about?
