Does anyone have memories and/or pictures of the original Acadian Hills country club in Lafayette before it was burned down and rebuilt in 2001/2002?

I used to play in a really good money game out there. I think it was on Tuesdays. Then on Wednesdays, it would move to Spanish Trail. Good times.

Old country clubs burn down real easy, it seems.

Ahh yes...back in the day we would turn on the lights at the tennis courts after hours and play for hours while drinking beer. Not once did we ever get caught.

I got pantsed in front of the cutest girl in school in fifth grade at our year end pool party over there, the water was cold. Thankfully, she was nice about it.

No pictures, but I'm sure my Dad does. Many memories of swimming in that pool and eating burgers in the clubhouse.

I used to play out there every Sunday with my father in law. The day I was going to ask him if I could marry his daughter I hit a horrible 3 wood on 10 going for the green and it ricocheted off a pine and caught him right in the chest. I postponed the question until the next week.

used to play it a lot when I lived in Lafayette, there used to be a killer crawfish boil out there at least once every spring, sponsored by people in the O&G bidness, really good times

Yea, I have great memories of Acadian Hills, was the PGA Golf Pro there from 1990-1999. Really miss the place, lots of good players, and lots of good tournaments.

I was on the cart staff in high school and summer before college. Getting there on a Saturday morning at 545 after a night of partying at the keg was rough lol.
Was a good job for a teenager, though.
My high schools golf team practiced there and my buddies on the team would aim at me when I was picking the driving range.

Me too, what years?
I also worked at Oakbourne. Graduated from Tuerlings in the late 2000's.

Had some good people, who worked there. Doug and Marie in the bar and grill and Walter in the pro shop. They were staples at The Hills.

Good times, you must have taken the junior lesson camp with myself and Russell Mouton, my assistant pro at the time.
