AGCO auto if you want to fix it the first time.

Thanks. Don't know if I trust it to get that far. Asked about Partners because it is so close I can almost push it there. Light came on driving down here. Stopped in auto zone in hammond. Battery fine. Alternator bad and it looks to be a 4-5 hour job.

I wouldn't trust anyone on Old Hammond. That entire street is a shithole now.

Sorry, but that place was horrible for me - overly expensive and never did end up fixing the problem at the time.
If Mikes Transmission is still around I HIGHLY recommend them.
Only shop that told me NOTHING was wrong with my vehicle have a good day.

Make sure it’s not a “re-manufactured” or refurb alternator. The thing will last 18 months at best.

Dod’s Electric in Walker is the place you need.

Be a man. YouTube it and fix it yourself.

I've done alternators before and in my RX300 and RX330, the alternator was on top of the engine. Nice and easy to get to.
This damn thing is in the middle of the engine. You have to take out the grill, radiator fans, and a whole lot of other stuff to get to it. It's a 4 hour or so job for a shop.
