I plan on a late summer trip 2026 with the wife and looking for nice options to stay- maybe not quite Four Seasons nice. I plan on fishing during the day and want to be where she is within shopping range.

Here’s a list. Best Hotels Jackson Hole

The Wort is probably the best close to the shops.

The Wort. It’s on the square and close to shopping. Several really good restaurants are walkable. Uber easily available if you need to go a little further..

If you want to get out of Jackson for a few nights I suggest The Hatchet Resort in Moran. It was recommended to me by the Travel Board and we stayed there back in August. Tons of good fishing right there beside you in Bridger-Teton and only a 40 mile drive back to the city.

Rustic Inn. Very nice place. Short walk to the square or take their shuttle.

Went during Labor Day 2023. A lot of hotels I'd book were full downtown, so I booked two separate rooms with two separate Amex Platinums using their Fine Hotels catalog at the Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa. Both rooms were upgraded to suites with kitchens under FHR benefits.

On top of that, I didn't find the town or Teton particularly busy at all, so all that to say it seems to be a nice time to go for less crowds and upgrade possibilities.

If possible go in September. Just got back and it was very manageable as opposed to July August. We stayed at Teton Village and was glad we did. Easy drive to south end of Park and easy drive town. Also stayed a few nights in Driggs which required a trip thru south pass. If u get that way Targhee resort very cool place as was Driggs and Victor. Good luck have fun.

Hotel Jackson is great but a little pricey. Snake River Grill good for dinner. Beautiful area. Used Jackson Hole Anglers for a fly fishing trip (drift boat). Had a blast.

I have family who live in Victor. I love the small town feel of both Victor and Driggs. We seldom go into Jackson Hole anymore because it’s so overcrowded with tourists. It’s definitely better to wait until September to visit if you can when most schools have re-opened and it’s less crowded.
