Haven’t been to a home game since 2019. Bringing the family from Mississippi for the South Carolina game. Is there any free parking near the stadium? Last time we parked near Alex box in a free lot. Figured some things have changed since last time we were there.

I would suggest you check out the gameday parking map on LSUsports.net:

There is no free parking by the old Alex Box stadium...

Park near Iowa St residents take care of you . North is the best option for many reasons

Look for Orangejello (Or-rahn-gel-lo) or his brother Lemonjello (Lah-mon-gel-lo) $20 bucks, they'll give yoiu a water, make sure your car is secure and it's easier to get downtown on Nicholson or Highland after the game.

I was going to bring a dessert this Saturday. Folks are skimping the sweets the past couple weeks.

You should plan to park in the hayfield lot or the levee lot, as those are free. They are both a good ways from the stadium, but thousands of people will be parking there, so unless you have young children or are disabled it is perfectly doable.

The lots around Alex box are pay lots now with motor homes parking there this year.

Take a look at the lot chicken linked and let me know if you have questions.

is lot 406 for cars? Also, will it allow us to leave that lot and go to river rd and turn left to go out to the casino?

Recommend - early arrival and parking behind EA Sports Building / AG Center
Easy out that way

How early do you have to be there on a game like this to get in to the free hayfield or levee lots? how early do they normally fill up?

Always the correct answer. Even if it’s late and you have to park my Milford wampold park, it’s better.

It’s about 1.5m walk to Tiger stadium, but easy access to interstate.

Thank you. My kids are 16 and 15 so the walk should be fine for us. Just glad to know there are still some free areas to park. Thanks for the info

I’ve parked in those two lots on Gourrier Ave for years. No big deal. But don’t get there in late afternoon. Show up by 12. The traffic detail working those lots will direct you to the exact spot where they want you to park.

Yall say that, but there is a ton of parking and a smooth exit. It’s 50:50 if you street park in front of vacant lot and have to pay a parking fee. It’s typical the cost of the local not breaking into your car.

All of this talking about traffic and walking makes a fella want a van with AC. Just crash after the game and drive home in the morning.
