Nuss got rocked in the 3rd quarter against SLU

SIAP… Jimmy and Charles made a great point recently about BK saying this bye week is ideal for rest purposes… yet he missed the opportunity to rest Nuss during our first “bye” week (SLU)
On top of not sitting him, he brings him out in the 3rd quarter, and Nuss takes a huge shot, slow getting up. Nuss (and BK) might not have disclosed how much that affected him, who knows.
How much did Nuss playing in the SLU game affect Ole Miss production, and specifically this hit, when he should NEVER have been in there. I’d say more than 0%. Why can’t a $10 million per year “leader” make a better decision in that spot?

I doubt that hit was any worse than the rest of the year.
When Nuss gets hit it always looks like he's about to go out on a stretcher. Oklahoma game last year the hit looked career-ending.
For whatever reason when he takes hits it always looks like he gets slaughtered and he's always limping, etc. after hits. Honestly, I just don't think he's very tough. He's definitely no Burrow who the more hits he took the worse it was for the opposing team which is why he played with broken ribs against Clemson.

Because he's overcompensating for his lack of knowledge and ability to compete in the SEC.

Sure didn't affect his dancing with MVB in the endzone late in the 4th quarter!
Why isn't the +1M/year college QB wearing any sort of protection around his affected area if he's sooo hurt?
This place is insufferable.

Nuss is slow getting up and subsequently limps around every time he gets touched

SLU game
Nuss should not have played a single snap. The backup gets the experience needed to play if Nuss’s nagging injury doesn’t respond.

Like he did for the entire 2nd half after the 1st possession post-halftime?
Forget about Nuss jumping all over Sharp after the 2nd half TD...did you see that huge hit the DL from Southeastern laid on him in the 1st half?!?!

Maybe Nuss needed the work?
If you watched the prior games it sure looks like he needed the work.

I think zero.
You could see the arm strength issue throughout the SELA game.
It was definitely dumb to play him in the 2nd half though.

He played 1 series, looked completely fine and was jumping all over Sharp after the TD.
When Nuss' NFL career inevitably fails, maybe he can pick up acting.
Or preaching.

Hearing BK say things like “the bye week will help him” infuriates me. You had a built in bye week prior to the Ole Miss game but you chose to play him.

Nuss either quit working out since last season or he is hurt. There is no scenario where a healthy Nuss can’t throw 50 yards.

Not sure why this got downvoted.

If BK rested Nuss vs SELA and looked like he did vs OM you all would be saying he should have played and get some reps...

Yeah its funny...until he attempts to throw the ball. Then its not funny.

It blows my mind that BK talks about load management and bye weeks, then does the exact opposite. Protecting your QB should be the #1 priority, especially with SEC play ahead.
