Do any of y’all adjust your driver for a draw or fade? I’ve never done it because my thought is the issue is with my swing and not my club, however, my driver is the only club in my bag that I consistently lose to the right and at times hit a big banana slice.

I’m considering adjusting it to a draw bias and see what happens, anybody done it with good results?

this Ping 440 I have has more adjustments than anyone would need... I found out by searching through videos and on the range what you think you're adjusting for may not be what you want to happen...

I’ve put lead tape on the heel.

The problem with my adjustment options is to close the face I have to increase loft which sounds counterintuitive at first.

There are some adjustable drivers out there where you can separately change, loft, lie, and face angle.

I adjust on each shot based on the shape I want. Address, adjust driver slightly open for fade then regrip, closed for draw. Same swing.

Unless I get a toe or heel strike it’s much easier to hit fairways or avoid trouble.

And let’s face it, at Capital Hill on the Senator a lost ball is a missed fairway away.

I mean that's what the draw setting is for. It slightly closes the face for you without you having to make any swing/grip adjustments.

Yep, and that’s my goal. I’m gonna try it out today on the course, I was hitting it pretty good on the range. With the slight draw by as I can hit my normal cut I want to see and it seems to keep it from banana slicing on me, we will see!

You get in the gunch on the Senator course - good luck.

I would get video. There's obviously some change there causing out to in path. There could be a very small change in your approach to driver that would fix this.

Occasionally you step on one. Usually isn’t yours, but apparently a lot of people play pro v1s so it’s worth at least a Quick Look.

likely a swing issue that you get away with at a lower speed and higher loft. could also be the shaft itself causing the problem.

Hey guys, stop trying to diagnose my swing problem

I know it’s a swing issue I said that in the OP, my question was about adjusting my driver to help limit the issue

ETA: I adjusted my driver into a slight draw bias today and started hitting nice controllable fade and shot a 76 which is a good score for me

the driver shaft may be too weak for your swing.

TM has an upright setting. Excellent to prevent the big slice.

I can’t tell you the last time I played a neutral driver. I always go flat or open/flat depending on the manufacturer to help prevent the left miss off the tee. Well over 50% of tour players are not in the standard setting as well

Yea I think I’m going to adjust it even more actually. I don’t have a problem with solid contact and if I can free myself up to swing a little harder without too much concern of an overcut it’s really going to help me a lot.

I’m sure very 5 handicap feels this way, but I think I’m 1-2 slight game tweaks from being able to break par every now and then
