JJ's Dad Needed to Lay Down the Law...

I heard the dad affirmed JJ's commitment to LSU yesterday; but there's absolutely No Excuse for letting his son screw LSU and Coach Miles at the 11th hour. As a father, I'd have insisted my son do the right thing and honor his COMMITMENT, period! JJ had a few YEARS to figure it out...this is wrong and parents are to blame for being spineless! It's even more egregious since the dad's a FB coach and understands the business. The tail wags the dog once again.

If i am a recruit and see and hear how that situation goes down,,,i wouldn't think twice about not honoring my commitment.

What are you talking about? We held a spot for Benton in the last two classes because he supposedly was going to qualify. He was then supposed to be qualified for this spring, but wasn't. Now Benton and his coach are again saying that Benton will qualify. Les Miles is not Charlie Brown. He's not going to land on his back again if it costs him the #1 recruit in the country.
Not to mention that, after LSU has held a spot for him for two and a half years, Benton visited Auburn and said that he wasn't sure where he wanted to go.
Benton failed to keep his commitment time and time again.

You are soooo right LSUJJP, I just posted basicly the same thing. Man ,go to Tenn, but, let LSU know, that's your home state! So ,give us no chance to find another DB. And his dad is a coach. No class at all! R.R. will burn you. And by the time Tenn gets better , he will be gone. I realy would wish him the best ,but what he did is just wrong....

He wasn't thinking twice about it anyway. He is quoted as saying he let the Tennessee coaches know he was going there on Tuesday, before the Benton stuff went down.
