Probably going to win multiple acting Oscars for Rock and Blunt. Safdie's always make good films.

Will probably be one of, if not, the best films of the year.

Just got out of it. I thought very well done, the pacing was excellent. The Rock did give a good performance and Emily Blunt played a huge part in that.

Saw a clip of a news interview with the rock and Emily promoting the movie. Damn, Emily looked amazing. Halpert is a lucky dude

I noticed her clothing/attitude reminded me of Julia Fox in Uncut Gems, definitely a vibe that Safdie likes to explore haha

Saw the film last night. It won't be for everyone. There is genuinly very little real substance to the film. Basically just a collection of scenes with little to no actual plot.

Blunt'a character is genuinly one of shallowest characters I can remember.

I enjoyed it because of the subject matter and Rock was very vrye good, but most of his best parts are given away in the trailers and there is just something missing from the film, depth wise.

I still enjoyed it, but it is nothing like what people probably think they are going to see.. Which is Rocky MMA. It's not. Not at all.

I like hearing that The Rock can actually do a drama role.

I loved this so much. Mark Kerr is a genuine good person and The Rock portrayed him so well.

I know nothing about the subject matter but I wondered why they made a doc and then a film about Kerr instead of Coleman. I enjoyed the movie, won't remember much of it.

It's going to be a tough sell and will need tons of word of mouth. I admit that I wasn't excited to see a "Rock in a wig" semi-action drama.

Was anyone expecting a $30-40M opening weekend for a drama about a guy 98% of the population has no idea who he is and a sport very few mainstream people follow?

Nothing has juice at the box office anymore outside of 2-3 remaining movie stars (Cruise, Leo, Pitt) or an IP film.

Other than that, it's basically limited to Nolan, QT, and PTA for more traditional type films. The movie business is in deep, deep trouble.

Been seeing sponsored tweets for a few months, "The Rock is UNRECOGNIZABLE as Mark Kerr". I always replied, he's totally recognizable as the Rock. I'm not in any way excited to see this, I'd rather just watch the documentary.

He’s an mma fighter in the mid to late 90’s

There was a documentary called the smashing machine and it showed his addiction to pain killers along with his strained relationship with his girlfriend while he was finishing up his preparation for the Pride (Japanese mma organization) Grand Prix tournament.

He was one of the favorites to win and it was possible he was going to fight his friend mark Coleman (both were awesome amateur wrestlers).

Kurt Angle beat Mark Kerr in order to have the spot for the US wrestling team in 96, mark was the alternate.
