Who remembers 2002 vs The Citadel?

Saban was not happy with the running game the week before so we did nothing but run over and over again in this game to get physical and set the tone for the rest of the year. We should have done that against SeLA. But we have Kelly/Sloan.

We went into this OM game where they have one of the worst run defenses in the entire country
And we ran the ball twice in the 1st half with our RBs
2 times
And 1 of those times was on 3rd/20

We lost 5 games because Mauck got injured. The point is Saban used a rent a win to improve the biggest weakness of the team. Kelly used our rent a win to pad Nuss’s stats.
