I'm wondering if he has the ability to be our return specialist...next year. I don't think he starts at safety from game one. We do have some talent.

Although we have a ton of talent at safety as compared to when Laron Landry started as a freshman, I think that Loston is better than all of them.
I don't think he'll start from game 1. But, I wouldn't be surprised to see him take someone's job, just like PP did at CB.

I think he'll be starting by the end of the season. Especially with a new DC. Not sure who he'll beat out though. Chavis will have some different opinions of where some of our safeties will play. Maybe he beats out CJ for free and hatcher starts at SS?

not sure. Everyone and their mother knows mcCray will be on the field. As what happens with Coleman, I don't know. the guy is a LB playing safety.
I didn't even list Francois. Not sure what's going on with him or if he'll even get playing time.

I still say Jai and PP should be starting corners, McCray and Jones and safeties and Hawkins in the Nickel.
Also rotate P. Jones and R. Brooks for the Dime.

for the love of god, why? chavis has no prior opinions on mccrays ability - hopefully it will basically be an open tryout. his work ethic or whatever the hell it was that made pellini and malveto think highly of him wont factor in much to chavis' decision (fingers crossed)

I really dont want to see McCray on the field in a big game, EVER again. That being said, I like Karnell Hatcher, and REALLY wish he would get alot of PT next year. Coleman is alright, but he just seems like he tries to lay the wood EVERY time he tries to tackle, and if he misses, the receivers get another few yards... I really think Loston is our second coming of LaRon, so I think he most definitely will get PT this year. Chad Jones isnt too bad at coverage, so he could play safety on a few man blitzes and the like...
