Why would any team going forward not play 3 DL and drop 8 against us?

We’ve proven we can’t run the ball against a 3 man line and dropping 8 shuts down our passing game. Not to mention that Ole Miss has one of the worst defenses in the SEC. Vanderbilt may be the only defense on par with Ole Miss left on our schedule. This team is in serious trouble.

I wouldn’t even send 3. Send one. Guaranteed it was still result in a sack or loss on a run

Against Ole Miss it wasn't even a "can't" issue. It was a won't run the ball issue.

Berry looked good. We need him to step up get the pass pro down. With Caden back and Berry coming on we may get enough to open it back up a little for Nuss.
The play calling is perhaps a bigger issue tho.
And we may need to put a fullback and run some i formation.

Yeah. The fact we didn’t even try to run the ball against the worst team in the league is disturbing.
This is a Sloan issue with Kelly also being to blame.
Puts a ton of pressure on a “maybe injured” Nuss to be perfect.
Harlem Berry should be getting more touches.

Even worse, we won’t even try to run it against a 3 man front.

You mean like Johnson ? Did you miss him whiff on the sack that Nuss took when Ole Miss rushed 3 lineman? Berry is the best back and should be getting 20-25 carries a game, and that’s with a healthy Durham available. I don’t know what’s up with Durham this year. Is he hurt ? Injured? Either way Berry is the best back on the team and instead of utilizing him our dumbass coaches believe that a 4th string QB converted to rb or our wr’s are the best option to run the damn ball. Berry was the #1 back in the Nation last year. This staff has failed it players and fans !

If Nuss continues to refuse to run, they really only need one to rush. Any hint of pressure and he's going to panic or fold. Continuing forward in the SEC without a quarterback who can keep defenses honest with the occasional run, is a recipe for failure.
