Been a slow rain all day so it should sprout really well. Went with wheat and turnips combination.

I planted 2 weekends ago up there with cereal rye, coker oats and little bit of turnips. Got 1/4" of rain this past Sunday, and should be getting more today if not already. I planted super heavy so curious to see how it comes up. There wasn't much rain in the forecast when i planted so I made sure I had enough in case the birds got into it and covered as much as i could.

Wheat was $10 for 50lb sack. Wheat for theearly to mid season, and turnips for after frost and colder temps.

Wheat is for later too but I’m sure the deer will eat it now

Oats are early season

Planted oats snd crimsom clover last year and deer didnt seem browse them much. Decided to go a cheaper route this season. Ive a 50/50 mix of corn and calf creep in gravity feeders. Hitting those hard right now.

Nothing wrong with that bud! When I have the time I buy the cheaper bags and mix myself. It’s WAY cheaper than buying premix bags with basically same stuff in them.
