Fungus on Azaleas and Camellias help

Have a fungus growing on branches of the azaleas and camellias around the house. Any recommendations to get rid of it? It’s killed a few branches and don’t want to lose the plants. Lafayette area if that helps. TIA

Your pic shows mostly lichen rather than fungus. When lichen are thriving it can mean that the host plant is somehow stressed or diseased. With my azalea and camellia it's been hit of miss for plants to recover from last summer drought and a later hard freeze. Half look fine and the others have lost up to 1/2 of the stems. I've cut out dead stems and added sulfur to get the preferred soil pH. Make sure stems are actually dead...snap when bent. When cutting back sterilize pruner with rubbing alcohol between plants

Thanks for the help guys. They probably are stressed. We do a terrible job of keeping these things watered. I’ll stay on the old lady to do a better job.

Spray the with Copper Fungicide or Copper Soap. It will dry up the lichen and it will eventually fall off. You will need to spray multiple times at 7–10-day intervals.
Like mentioned above they are stressed from something and that is why the lichen is growing.

Have they ever been fertilized?

Not since I bought the house in 2016. They were already here.

Might want to fertilize and mulch with pine straw.
