...of those who have terminated employees for posting hateful, incendiary, and disgusting comments regarding Charlie Kirk on social media were just as happy for the opportunity to unload some toxic and likely unproductive employees "for free?" In many cases, you think they already knew these employees were a cancer?

My guess is a lot.

As deranged as these people appear, I wonder if they will become the next shooter.

They hired them in the first place with their pedigree. They should also be in hot water.

Side note re: business owners: It seems that the biggest change involving the recent firings is that the firings are seemingly rooted in substantive distancing & consequential actions for actual vile & repugnant language/behavior, as if owners & boards suddenly woke up and grew somewhat a semblance of balls.

Before, it seemed not long ago, every small business (even kowtowing conservative-owners) to large corporations (particularly left-leaning conglomerates) towed the lefty line with virtue-signaling hirings & firings, cancel culture submissiveness for an adult employee's teenage-mistep, mask-&-vax-mandate-firings, DEI pandering, store-front American flag removals, prohibiting employees from preventing shoplifting, etc...

Still a ways to go, but the pendulum appears to be swinging back in the right direction.

I worked for a Fortune 500 corporation for over 23 years. There's this little thing know as a "Code Of Conduct" we all had to agree to, whether it be via an employment contract or policy, you agree to it.

Big companies have rules for how employees should behave online to protect the company and keep things respectful. Workers shouldn’t post anything that could hurt the company’s reputation or share private info. They’re expected to be professional in emails, chats, and social media, and not speak for the company unless they’re allowed to. Sharing sensitive data or using company systems inappropriately is a big no. Employees also need to follow laws about things like copyright and online security. Companies like Google and AT&T make these rules clear and easy to follow so everyone knows what’s okay and what’s not.

Always counseled my friends, coworkers, direct reports, my children, guess what, whatever you say online is permanent and it can come back to bite you.

Like I mentioned when this all started right after Charlie was Murdered. There are very few if any businesses that want to be associated with the vile and hateful speech their employees were spewing. Many of them would rather face a wrongful termination court case versus deal with the consequences of an angry customer base.

So many of the offenders showed who they worked for in their online profiles. Quite Stupid in my opinion. It was a natural reaction for angry conservatives to send the online content to those employers to prove to them how vile their employee was.

I literally said this to my wife two days ago. I said, I bet these companies are so sick of their DEI hires and are going to use this to offload these shitty employees!!

I’ve been impressed at how quickly so many of these people are getting canned. I definitely feel like there is something else at work here. Like there is Some other motive beyond just “violated standards for company xyz”

It's always a good time to rid yourself of some social justice warriors that introduce drama to the office.

But it is so much more that drama. I have watched people become completely unhinged in the workplace over whatever Trump did this week. It is actually insane to watch them lose it.
