While Ju'Juan Johnson had 4 carries for 0 yds (including a fumble). I know he's still learning pass protection, but coming off his performance against Tech and with an offense that desperately needs a spark, would be nice to see Berry fed more.

Pretty amazing run. He had some blockers coming in at the end there. Maybe if he would’ve slowed up a little bit he would’ve had a better chance of getting into the end zone.

With the lack of depth at the RB position, Kelly doesn't have that luxury.

Running back position will keep LSU from championship contention

The NCAA should just give everyone 5 years of eligibility because that’s the average years to graduate anyway. Play who is ready, but no need to stash kids.

Some school will offer him more money and guarantee carries.

GA, AL, Mi, OR
Any would be better for his career than playing under BK right now.

Absolutely. For some reason Durham who had elite speed in HS like Berry looks slow. His speed has not translated to the college level for some reason. I don't know if it's a combination of being hurt, vision in smaller holes, or he bulked up and lost a step.

The few times Berry touches the ball he looks as advertised from when he came out of HS with elite speed. Even JJ looks fast. I'd like to know what's going on with Durham and wondering if he's hurt. On the long run against Florida I don't really care how fast that DB was there's no way he should've caught him from behind with Durham's track speed. Yeah, I know our OL sucks but there's opportunities at times and he doesn't look right.

So he lost a step somewhere since getting to the college level. Maybe it's deceptive because he has lack of confidence due to a bad OL blocking. I have seen opportunities for him this year on a few runs where if he made a cut he could've gashed a defense over pursuing. I've seen runs like right before the big run you can see he's slow to hit holes for some reason and he had a big hole up the middle on that sequence before the long run. All our RBs under BK feel like they either regress or just don't develop.

The long run is exactly what he needs to do more. He had a few of those opportunities last few games so maybe he's figuring it out now. A RB I remember who had an elite first cut with vision was Hill. Any defense who slightly over pursued out of their lanes his one cut would gash them. Of all the great RBs LSU had he was one of the more underrated ones.

They aren’t RBs. You don’t redshirt healthy RBs. Especially the #1 ranked high school one. That’s absurd.

Berry is not redshirting.

By the middle of the yr he should be rb2.

GA, AL, Mi, OR would be a better place for you as a fan. 2 of your "better" colleges have a loss. LSU is ranked ahead of all of your "better" colleges. LSU needs "better" fans than you.

Take away the fumble, I’m not sure what else you could have asked from Ju’Juan Johnson. Maybe go back & watch those carries. Tell me where anyone does better. I certainly want to see more of HB, but I’m not going to throw a kid under the bus, let alone under the impossible circumstances he was playing under.

What?? You can’t redshirt a kid with that talent. Very unlikely he’s @ LSU more than 3 years. He’s a matchup nightmare.

Berry needs the majority of carries. His ability to make something out of nothing is sorely needed

That’s a three year player, four at most. No point in redshirting him. Plus, we have running back depth problems in this, our money season.
