As far as I know he was down to Texas and purdue, which should tell you all you need to know

In his own words, “LSU didn’t recruit me like they wanted me”. Bellicheck had a better chance than Kelly (not my words).

If he is not a quick penetrating DT who plays with power… then he doesn’t fit the new DL coaches scheme.
If he is a Quick penetrator with power…
then we missed on a hometown recruit at DT.

I’m not going to second guess Kyle Williams at all. I’m just telling you what the kid and his coach are saying.

Hes more of this. An anchor. He moves pretty well for a guy built like him but his future is as an anchor. Good player that doesnt fit what Williams wants. He was ours if Davis stayed. He got caught in the numbers game and was behind others that we landed on the board. He could contribute here but we can't take everyone. The definition of a slow play. He saw through it and landed on his feet. Good floor/depth take for Texas which is what they see in him.

Get used to this
It’s better to care about recruiting in these lessening increments:
50% less now
Possibly 75% in next three years.
Then hopefully it’s leveled off and we care 25% less.
It’s still important. Louisiana state has a distinct advantage in this state and it surrounding states.
But the bayou bash is gone and state vocational productivity went up on Feb 3.
It’s better to care about recruiting in these lessening increments:

We cooled on him. Seen him several times and I’ll be shocked if he becomes a big contributor in college. Looked more promising as a sophomore.
