since more than 10% of Sloans playbook has read options & RPO's and we have a QB unwilling to pulling the ball. Let Johnson take the snaps and run those.

Nuss equals a hand off or pass

Johnson equals run, pass or option.

It’s coming. Probably against Vandy or Bama. Wouldn’t mind seeing it against Ole Miss

the plan was for Johnson to redshirt, not sure where that stands at this point with one more game for him to play and not redshirt

Van Buren was also slated to redshirt so will be interesting to see if he sees any time in Southeastern game if it gets out of hand

This is all assuming Nuss stays healthy so I still don't see him running at all costs, you still need him healthy

It seems he has become a big part of our offense. I don’t see that changing

The wildcat can still be run with #0. It doesn't have to be Johnson though I would prefer him.

We simply need more staps from under center. It would tremendously help not only the running game but would help Nuss stay in rhythm and add more protection

Probably should have just gone to the wildcat after the INT. LSU didn't throw a pass after that.

Wouldn't that be rather obvious? Is Thomas any kind of throwing threat? Not being picky, I just don't know...

read options

We dont run read options. Name a time Nuss has ever pulled rhe ball from a RB and took for any amount of yards.

Please, stop saying we run run options or zone reads. We DO NOT.

Perhaps Redshirt. Kelly was non committal either way. It seems obvious now that we'll need him this season

That package is being saved for the right time against the right opponent. Good coaches do that. BK is a very good and maybe a great coach. I trust him.

I don't disagree with this. But this isn't the Brian Kelly of 10-15 years ago. He is much more of a CEO type coach than in-game scheme and play calling coach. The only thing you have to look at is the fact he doesn't hold a play sheet on the sideline. In his first year here he had a small sheet for note taking, and he looked to be involved after the losing streak last year, but he hasn't held a full play sheet on a regular basis since early in his career at Notre Dame.

2014 Notre Dame

Against Florida this weekend.
