That’s why it’s incredibly idiotic to rely on the government for anything

Government has mostly turned into career politicians with a law degree. Their goals center around votes and getting elected.

It’s evident anytime there’s a major hiccup, they have zero idea on how to handle it. See Covid.

We have to rely on them. Cops, firefighters, etc are the Government.

The further removed from being a local agency, the more inept and inefficient the agencies become.

And if course it's too late for anyone to be held accountable.

Is it a State of Limitations thing or a Government doesn't care thing or both?

I'll summarize it for yall:

"Why isn't anyone getting us out of here? Why aren't we being saved? Where are the busses?"

*a few episodes later"

"Why are they putting us on these busses? Why are they bringing us somewhere else? Taking us against our will!"

All of the above. No doubt most of the info in the doc was available if there was a real investigation soon after Katrina. "Journalists" and government cover for each other.

It was a combo of an unprepared ineffective government (at all levels) and an entitled, unprepared population.
