I appreciate Mike asking the question and deep down Kelly does too. It gave Kelly the opportunity to express his frustrations with the offense AND defend his players in public. Kelly knows one thing, you don't fix team issues through the press and public. You take care those issues behind the scenes.

Also Mike is a big boy. He can take it.

I didn’t realize that was Cauble who asked that question. I hope Cauble goes on a mission now to be hard on Kelly. He asked what EVERY FAN is wanting to know about and got called “spoiled” for it. frick that!

You’re in the south now, Brian. We know football and we expect complete games.

Kelly was out of line. The offensive production was not good. LSU 10 1st downs, Florida 23. LSU 4 of 14 on 3rd down. Time of possession, LSU 22:14, Florida 37:46. LSU's defense is amazing. The fact they held Florida to 10 points with those 3 stats is amazing. 5 turnovers that end Florida drives and you still lose the time of possession. Excited to be 3-0, but we have not faced the best teams on this schedule. Unless the offense finds a way to have consistent drives, the defense will start to wear down. Although, last night did prove the defense is stacked when injuries occur and next man steps up. Offense needs to find a way to maintain drives and this team will be unstoppable.

I think that’s BS. Had we won 45-35, with the defense playing poorly, the fans would be ecstatic right now. Fans love offense and are willing to dismiss poor defense over poor offense.

No one is asking for 42 pts/gm.. we just want competency and execution of a game plan.

A lot of the things the offense just does NOT make sense. There is no flow to it. Situational play calling is atrocious.

I know why but no one is listening. Even the LSU offense showed us three times this season and they were very successful when they ran from those formations but they refuse to go back to those formations on a regular basis.

Other college teams do it. It's A LOT more popular in the pros.

Can you guess what it is?

I do love offense and I also sorely missed the old LSU defenses we used to have so I’m thrilled to have the defense we have right now, but how many 3and outs did we have to start the game, and total last night? It was horrendous. Absolutely comically bad throws from Nuss and dropped balls when they were thrown well. The hard-headed insistence of the offense to run the ball over and over for no or 1 yard in the first half was outrageous. Where was the offense from the Clemson game?

As fans, we have every right to be really concerned and reporters have every right to ask those questions. Brian Kelly has every right to react the way he did, but he looked like child doing it and it was a terrible look for him.

I’m not a fan of his right now. I’ll probably get over it since we won the game but we will 100% lose 2 or 3 games again this year because of this offense and when that happens, Brian Kelly will need to address some shite or accept being on a very hot seat with fans.

Once again I ask, were you all hypercritical when Saban, or any other coach for that matter, would berate the media for some of the questions they asked at press conferences?

You can't run a spread offense when the QB is not a running threat.

LSU is real easy to defend right now.

Nuss needs to line up under center A LOT more and run a more traditional style pro offense. Most Pro QBs don't run...so they run pro-style offenses.

Brian Kelly has done NOTHING at LSU to earn the right to talk to reporters that way. He has to earn that right but instead he’s acting as if he has a history of adjusting and finding solutions instead of doing the same fricking things over and over again.

Kelly made the statement at the end saying that “we can scheme our offense around the defense because the defense is that good”. I don’t think that’s possible. Our offense is so horrifically bad that I don’t see how elite defensive play could elevate it in any way.

Kelly is delusional if he honestly thinks that.
