Part of me prays for our enemies that hate us but the other half wants full on Pinocet treatment for them as well.

Assassinated. He wasn’t taken away. He was assassinated. Change your title.

Charlie Kirk was about as close to a perfect Christian man as there was. I am not as moral as he. I’m okay with that in times like these.

It's the reason we are Christians, SH. Welcome to the club. Paul the Apostle, "that which I would, that I do not...". We all fight it.

Albeit, who knows...when things get really painful and ugly (think the Thief on the cross by Jesus) your tolerance and love for one the most egregious offenders might be the spiritual impetus that inspires and changes them in their last moments of life. Never know.

Don't quit sprinting till you hit the tape. You'll make the Good Lord proud.

I’m so sad, angry and fed up with assassinations of good people by evil lunatics, inspired by democratic politicians and leftist media. ENOUGH!

On one hand: I don't want spiraling political violence. Any joy in watching misery of others - bad as they may be - would be short lived and destructive, including to us.

On the other: This society cannot be healthy and productive when it has a subversive, hateful, radical element that has no fear of recourse for most of its activities.

So how do we get to the point where that element is stifled or at least lives knowing accountability may come, but without losing our own soul, so to speak?

Oh, I know what's coming, FB. My worst fear is that the whole Group has the same character as I do. Such being once I go off, it's straight to hell.

There are so many good people of all colors and political, religious persuasions that will be categorized and attacked in a barroom brawl dog fight that I just hate to see it happen. All Christians will lament it when we stand before our sinless Master, and see our own reflections in the character mirror.

This said, I will not stand by and let people do the killing for me, that is required to protect my own. No way I could live with that. So maybe the Good Lord gets me out before that 'temptation' arises. He knows, I don't.

I have some old school liberal tendencies in that I try to be someone who warns about what happens when the other side gets in power. But, even I am getting near helicopter rides mode and deporting Omar.

I just don't see them backing down because their hate is just that deep. They may not all say it and may tone it down for awhile but they are gleeful that Charlie Kirk was killed......Omar was at least honest and didn't mince her words......they would have been rejoicing in the streets if Trump had been assassinated.

Yeah ... a lot of us are feeling that way right now.

My Son, 26 yrs old, usually a very quiet and stoic young man .... he's expressed similar anger. "Eye for an Eye" stuff. A lot of his college buddies have voiced similar outrage.

Me too brother. I had to go to Mass when Charlie was shot because i was so angry. I didn’t like the way I felt. My heart was racing and I couldn’t calm down. I found peace in church and was able to let my anger go temporarily. The next day the anger started up again but not as much. I feel better now after knowing they caught the assassin and also after listening to Erika Kirk address the nation tonight on Fox News. She brought me hope.

Very simply, we aren’t the same people.

We have vastly different sets of values, priorities, morals, and ideologies in this country, and I honestly don’t know if they’re reconcilable anymore.

I would have liked to ask Charlie Kirk what kind of Government could best deal with the simpleminded underclasses, who are less able to compete and prosper in our Capitalist/Merit system, and now are relatively duped into a nihilist culture by those like Johnson and the current Dem ruling class. Obama at the fore. I would have loved to hear his answer. Racist, low expectations a non-starter.

I would love to hear this Forum's speculation as to what form of Christian government could deal with this seemingly hopeless conundrum. Does such even exist, given the psychological dynamics?

Don’t let hate consume you. That’s all the left has is hate of everything. You are better than that. You can hate evil, but don’t hate good like the left does.

Unfortunately there is a good chance this stuff all gets worse before it gets better.
