When I moved here 21 years ago it was a purple state. Doing my time for one more year then retiring from my current job then taking another one back home south. A lot of the native republicans here moved to Indiana, Wisconsin and Arizona for good reasons

The smaller Kane county towns tilt red but Elgin and Aurora turned Kane blue.
