First time going.

I’ve got 12 hours in Montreal on a weekday, solo. What should I make sure not to miss?

Is there a particular area that I should go to and then walk (I'll have a rental) to see/do? I'm open to exploring.

Also, what are some restaurants that I should consider for lunch?

It was a long time ago, but holy hell. It was Pornhub before there was Pornhub.

I haven't stepped foot in a strip club in well over 6 or 7 years, and I think the last time I went, my wife was with me --- and quite a few of her colleagues. It was a good time, but not because of the dancers (Gold Club, BR) -- it was watching the ladies in our group becoming enamored with the women on stage and what they were able to do to attract that almighty dollar.

I don't really have a desire to step foot into one, especially during the middle of the day, unless it is an absolute necessity and must do. I was prepared to spend a few dollars on sightseeing ... but I guess one could argue that stepping into a strip club is truly sightseeing.

Without researching on my computer, because it's not something I generally research, what's so different about Montreal strip clubs than any other run-of-the-mill strip club in Tampa or Vegas?

Go up to the Chalet du Mount Royal to see Mount Royal and overlook the city. There's a cafe in the Chalet where you can grab a coffee/drink.

Go to lunch at Schwartz's Deli.

Stroll around Old Montreal. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral. If you have time, the Pointe-a-Calliere Museum is interesting. Just a couple of blocks from the Cathedral.

All good suggestions. I’ll add Chinatown to the list. If you have a 12 hour layover, be aware that YUL is about 45 minutes or so from downtown IIRC.

Loved Old Montreal. It’s a little touristy, but it’s like a clean FQ. Several cool breweries if you’re into that. Joe Beef is always a suggestion, but you need to make reservations well in advance.
