Have to disagree man. If Randle goes elsewhere (and I hope I'm wrong), these statements made by his dad are going to be looked upon as blatant excuses to soften the blow. Not many are going to openly berrate our coaching staff. To come out with this now is just too convenient.

I'm not freaking out. I'm perfectly fine. I still recognize this is a great class. But if you say you wouldn't be disappointed then your probably lying.

This reminds me so much of the McKnight situation. Early on thinking it was USC, then confidence, then late we start seeing a lot of smoke that it wasn't going to happen. I chose to dismiss the smoke last time, I'm not getting my hopes up this time.
But let's act reasonable here. This is an 18 year old kid who is making this decision for himself. We all would love for him to be here but sometimes it is just not in the cards. I went to school out of state, a lot of people just don't like the appeal of going to the instate school. Do I believe that LSU would be the best "football fit" for Randle? Yes. Does it matter? No. This is a big decision for him and you can't fault him for going somewhere else. LSU is still LSU. We all said after McKnight that "we can't lock down in state." We were fine, we are going to be fine. This is a damn strong recruiting class, w/wo Randle.

Someone on Tigerroar just posted that Sonny Ship debunked the Randle father issue. Who is Sonny Ship, and did he disprove the comments attributed to Mr. Randle?
