Was Anakin ever really “good”? The prequels made him go from a whiny, annoying brat into an insufferable cringe young adult. Who stalked hot, older space princesses.

If Clone Wars is canon, then yes. He was a good mentor, soldier, and friend. He was a terrible Jedi.

Would have been nice to have it shown in just one of those trilogies something which would support any of this. Obi-Wan claiming that “he was a good friend“ doesn’t exactly ring true when we don’t see it ever happen on (the big) screen.
