Justin Jefferson Scholarship

Some report said Jefferson was a walk on. Is this true? My LSU obsessed friend says he grew up around LSU and was not offered anywhere significant because he was 100% committed to LSU, on scholarship. Tx.

He was offered late as I recall bc no one thought he would qualify

He got the last scholarship offer that recruiting season. He was not a walk-on.

He was offered late because it was unknown if he'd be eligible.

He qualified late and joined I think in the late summer after he passed clearinghouse. He was a low 3-star recruit mostly because folks didnt think he would make it to a D1 school out of high school.
Think he had to take a few summer classes after senior year to get eligible for D1.

In the thread that said he committed, some asked if he was a PWO.
