My pick for hero this year, but what happened?

I'm hoping he'll appear soon as he could be stellar in our offense...

Clemson very well could be the best defense we face all year. Chris Hilton will have some big games here soon.

Clemson was playing 2 high most of the game not letting us push the ball down the field. When they didn't we took our shots. Hilton just wasn't involved when that was going on.

There were at least 2 occasions where he had problems lining up

We only went downfield a few times and none were to him. That will likely be a bigger part of the offense going forward, and that’s really where his speed shines.

Penalties, etc. Not good for a veteran player. But damn this guy can fly. Still rooting for him to succeed.

We need to stretch the defense a few times each game even if our reception rate is meh. It'll open up the run game and short crossing routes

So we gonna poop on Barion Brown for illegal motion on a Durham 15 yd run?

I wondered where he was all night. If he came in the game, I didn't see it.

Game plan was to get rid of the ball very quickly

Also like the previous poster said Clemson played two safeties deep for most of the game, no wiggle room for low percentage plays.

I understand that getting the ball out quickly was the game plan here. I understand that Clemson was playing two deep safeties. An elite wide receiver will find a way to A. Get the ball B. To impact the game in a positive way. One target. One catch. One fumble -2 yards receiving.

Conversely Aaron Anderson, Zavion Thomas, Barrion Brown, and Kyle Parker contributed in big ways. Parker only had one catch but he blocked his arse off all night.

If Chris Hilton can only run a go route after being in the program five years that is a little disappointing. Seems like a good kid. My best friend worked with his dad for years and said he is awesome and they have a great family. I was just hoping
to see more last night after the way he finished last season.

He was manually put in motion by Nuss. The mistake was on Nuss.

It’s not that he can only run a go route, you’re just not going to find many receivers better than the ones you named at quick slants and short routes.

The WR room is extremely deep, Hilton will get his time.

Fumbled on a play that shouldn’t have been called, and definitely shouldn’t have been called to him.

Chris Hilton on a screen pass is crazy with the other 4 receivers that should be getting that ball

So because he shouldn't have been thrown the ball on a play shouldn't have been called you excuse the fumble. He fumbled

Mistake was on Brown. He lined up on the LOS and was obviously the motion man. There was another WR lined up on the LOS inside Brown. Just watched it on the replay

I don’t excuse anything on that play. The entire decision was stupid

Mine too, and I’m sweating bullets because I know Lester Earl is holding the receipt on that one.
