Do parents teach their kids values anymore .

I can't relate to them making $1m

I'm sure many understand the value of money. Sometimes it's a don't hate the player, hate the game system. College athletics have allowed us to get here. As long as it's here, kids have control to be entitled to work the system.

Most times in these situations, the parents or 1 parent is driving the decision based on the biggest bag and that’s what is driving these kids to be so unloyal to a coach/school, loyalty to family

As long as the $ comes, they won’t care

It's not eventual.
The recruiting shenanigans have been turning people off to the sport for a while now.

So you are a kid from a relatively low income home...or even a middle class home.
One school offers you $600k to play for them. The other offers $750k. A third offers $1M. You say you want $1.5M and a school commits to it. You're fine. You're set. Then another school comes along an offer $2.5M. Why would you not consider that offer...and take it? That's significantly more money than your family has ever had. It's life changing money. There's no guarantee you will be a pro ball player, regardless of which college you attend. So the "dollar today" theory applies.
Whether you like it or not, this is the marketplace. Grown men getting upset at 18 year old boys for taking a better offer that benefits THEM is sad. And you are going to continue to watch the sport. Why? Because while the players always change, those school colors don't. You aren't a fan of the player. Your fandom doesn't change with the player's team. You're a fan of the school and, by proxy, the player.

They don't want to hear logical explanations. Most people on here are 1. not very smart 2. never went anywhere athletically and sometimes in life.
