I agree that top to bottom this is the best OVERALL roster of the BK era. But having both O line and running back by committee seems like it may hurt us. Puts too much pressure in pass game and nuss better be willing to tuck it and run when o line breaks down.

How about you just wait 2 days before making threads like this?

you'll know on saturday...

lot to be said about an offense needing to play catch up the entire time because the defense was arse. even with a lead, with that defense no lead is comfortable.

Heathy Durham doesn’t sound too bad to me, he played on a bad wheel most of the year. Hard to make an evaluation on offensive line until we see them on the field imo. Maybe, our defensive line is really good after all the moves

Do we have to have the 07 patriots offense and 00 ravens defense to expect him to finish top fricking 12?

Caden Durham and Harlem Berry are both dogs and Jackson is a stud 3rd RB

Jesus Christ at some point in time I expect the coach to be able to coach some games and win. If not why do we pay him at all?

fricking already making excuses

With BK's track record of developing linemen and Brad Davis/Alex Atkins, how can you be of such little faith?

So Nuss is literally suppose to just do everything?

Yall don't want to say it but your thinking it - the Oline better protect him or this bullshite musical chairs thing a week before the game is on BK.

fricking retarded that you still don't have a starting 5 the week of the game.

Ed Orgeron would have been crucified for this. Meanwhile it's year 4 and somehow he doesn't have a starting o line set a week before a top 10 matchup on the road vs the best Dline in the country

a name to know for Saturday is Alex Atkins. He was brought in from Florida State to improve our run game blocking scheme and technique. IMO that was the biggest issue last year.

We have a legit C this year. It will be difficult to be as good at OT as we were last season. sounds like we feel good about 4 out of 5. it's the final OG spot.

we have 3 good backs who each bring a little something different. Matt Mauk on OTB was talking about Kaleb Jackson and how dominant he looks in practice. Durham played banged up as a true freshman and Harlem Berry is turning heads in practice. while i don't expect our OL to be as good overall, we may actually see improvement in the run game this year thanks to Alex Atkins.

Will probably be the worst OL, but I doubt it will be the worst “run game,” simply because Durham should be so far and above any other RB we’ve had in these 4 years, assuming he’s healthy. He was the best RB of BK’s LSU tenure LAST YEAR as a true freshman.

It was no coincidence how bad the running game got when he was slowed down by injury. He’s the kind of back that is patient, has the vision and ability to jump cut and bust it outside that can find yards without holes. Turn no gains into 8 yards. Can turn 4 yards into 40+. He’s up there with Nuss and Moore and Whit, and probably Haulcy as guys we can least afford a significant injury to. And he’s unbelievable catching the ball out of the backfield, too. Was terrible at pass protection, though, so that could be a factor in other aspects if he hasn’t figured that out.

I do think there are times when he needs to run it. He doesn’t need to be JD, but there were times last year when he had opportunities and took a a sack/incompletion instead. If defenses know he won’t run, so that’s one less thing they have to defend. Every once in a while would at least keep the defense honest.
