I've only been to KPot once (in Texas), and I thought it was kinda overrated. I didn't really care for the hot pot but it might have been because I didn't choose the right broth. I am looking forward to giving the new location a try this weekend.

Hot pot is dumb. Had the real thing in China. It's a dumb idea to boil a perfectly good piece of chicken, beef or shrimp in some overly indian curry tasting shitty spiced water.

The only reason it exists over there is so they can boil off whatever bad stuff is leftover on their too old to be consuming dirty arse bacteria filled meat.

Boiling shrimp in spicy water is dumb huh? Done right, hot pot can be amazing.

And it's not Indian curry seasoning btw

I know that.
It’s over spiced crap seasoning, like most curry.

You going to eat some cow stomach in your gross hot pot like they do in China?

To each his own. I find it terrible. Won’t ever eat that crap again. Have had it twice in China, once in the US.

That's the old Joe's Crab Shack building. It may be a cursed location.

shite take, not even a decent opinion, just pure ignorance.
Know who to ignore in the future.

I've been there twice. Pretty good for the value and not bad for the first Korean bbq in BR. Nice selection of meat. My only complain is that the limited/non exsitent sides and you have to go get them you them yourself. Usually a Korean BBQ would bring out 10 or so sides...salads, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, sliced pickled daikon, fish cakes, steamed egg bowl. Seems like there are only 2 kinds of kimchi as sides at the KPot bar.

It was packed so be prepared to wait going at night Thurs-Sat. I had to make 2 rounds in the parking lot to get a space. Maybe this may lead to competitors opening new ones.

To the posters who didn't like the hot pot, it is your choice. But having a hot pot is like a customized unlimited ramen. You get so many flavors for broths...tom yum, chicken, miso, beef. Then you get noodles and any kinds of protein and veggies you want. On a cold day, hot pots hits the spot.

Legend pot is opening soon so that may help with the wait. I'm sure their wait will be crazy as well. Plus they are adding sushi to go with their hot pot and Korean BBQ

Heard everyone eating got doused with the fire extinguisher system in the building a few nights a go. We’re closed for a few days to clean up, back open.

I did a review (and kind of a primer) here on Crazy Hot Pot in Metairie a while back. They have everything imaginable to add to your pot even cracked blue crab and stiff I couldn’t even identify. And dozens of great cooked sides and small entrees that are included in the price. You gonna eat damn good.
