I’d love to hear a few recommendations for books to read on Katrina. I have read The Great Deluge by Douglas Brinkley. I thought it was ok.
Thanks in advance.

Pure Winds by George Scruggs. It’s from a soldiers viewpoint at the Superdome it was really good.

The Brinkley book was good.
The Chris Rose book was a collection of his newspaper articles which were must reading at the time. Until he went off the deep end, Rose was an excellent journalist back in the days before they became extinct at the Times Picayune.
