Dont forget the NFL Schedule is usually released in mid-April. Always before the draft in late April.
That's actually my favorite offseason day besides the draft. I love seeing when the Saints play where and then planning my road trip/s in earnest.

Alejandro are you as fanatical as I am? I've already worked best case/worst case scenario schedules.
Good- open at home with Detroit then Jets for 2-0, a Monday Night with Dallas at home and the dome rocking.
Worst- last two games on the road at Philadelphia and Buffalo, Giants and NE consecutively at home.

Yeah Im more reactionary with the schedule. Im hoping for Philly in good weather (early in the season) because that's my most likely road trip. I'd also like to be at Miami late in the season (December for sure) because that would be another fun mini-road trip.

schedule thoughts for a bump-
Best Opening-
2 home games to get momo, Detroit then Jets
Worst-
2 away, one at Carolina which we haven't done well at in a while and Philly which is probably the most hostile road environment
Best Closing-
Any 2 division opponents in the dome, either crunch games or meaningless
Worst-
DC, Philly and Buffalo in December can always be blizzardy
Games I'd like to see most on MNF or Thursday-
the dome is rocking for primetime, nice to have Dallas, Giants, or Pats on the big stage

I don't know why Houston alumni always puts the Crawfish boil on
at the same time NFL draft is going on.
and yes I have other things planned with Saints fans that aren't LSU alumni
but usually are LSU fans

New Orleans Saints begin offseason workout program

The Saints begin their offseason conditioning program today - their version of the "first day of school" for the 2009 season.
Players were required to report to the team's practice facility in Metairie this morning. Starting this week, they will begin their official weight-training and conditioning programs, though most NFL players stay in shape year-round these days. Players aren't required to stay in New Orleans during the offseason program, as long as they stick to the routine wherever they might be.
Unfortunately, the team has decided to shut down access to the media this year until May, meaning we won't be hearing much from players over the next two months. Hopefully we'll still get to squeeze in a few interviews from time to time.
The first actual on-field activity will be the rookie camp May 8-10, which is also closed to the media. The first full-team practices will be May 19, when the Saints begin five weeks of OTAs (organized team activities). The full-squad minicamp is scheduled for June 5-7.
