Former Tiger Gabe Northern, He’s Designing Footballs, Add Ons!

I see Gabe every now and then. He still backs the Tigers. Back during his time at LSU, I’d have a pass to every practice, game time, I’d have a pass on the field, or I’d sit in the stands with the coaches families and recruits.
At practice Gabe and Kevin Mawae would go at it, running their mouths back and forth at each other. Those two were the leaders on their sides of the ball. Both still represent the Tigers.

When I lived at Broussard Hall, Gabe’s room was in the basement area just down from where Shaq’s room was. Like clockwork fine white girls would go in and out of his room daily

Gabe was a bad dude on the field. Loved the guy. Unfortunately, he was mostly on bad teams.

Charles, the chances that you and LSUDad have crossed paths has to be in the 30% to 40% range - I think y'all are about the same broad age category (within 2 or 3 years), same era, both connected to football in some way.

Been on the LSU campus since the 60’s. Made LSU Baseball games way before Skip made it to town. Seen the Pistol play in way too many games.
Know many of the former LSU football coaches. I tell folks, you won’t find a closer fraternity, than football coaches. One day you are recruiting against an opposing coach, the next season, you’re on a staff with him. When my friend sent me this video with Gabe, I sent it to a former LSU Coach, he in-turn, sent it to the coach that recruited and signed Gabe. The guy that coached Gabe in high school, I’m friends with. I saw that coaches wife last week, had a short talk with her. I first met Jimbo Fisher back when he was coaching at Auburn.
Ive done a lot of stuff over the years, been lucky to meet and know folks. My picture has been in the BTR newspaper, numerous times, but not for anything bad. I’ve had a field pass at LSU games with the opposing teams, Auburn and Miss St. Been in a suite with Coaches families at games. I enjoy sports.
For an old guy, I still get around.

Well that’s interesting!
I keep in semi touch with Gabe and always loved the guy. Was much closer with Kevin/John.
Btw, you have to love big Sheriff Hutch these days:)

Yea I am his friend and I just realized that too. Was coming to say he'll most likely reply to a facebook post if you comment under it asking for info. But I see it's gone. He's been posting a good bit lately and now it's just gone. Hope he's doing well.
