Looking for a dock light for the camp and seeing if the OB has any make/model/manufacturer they are fond of. Lot of lights out there with a quick google, kind of overwhelming and don’t want to install some crap light. Idea here is Trout at night. We’ve had random flood lights in the past, but hurricanes happen and wreck shop. Looking for something that stays in place year round. I’ve fished at camps that have lights you plug into a battery and toss in the water but that’s not what I’m looking for. Something I can install and forget about until next named storm comes and wrecks shop again.

Ours is just from "Underwater Fish Light"s website. Plug it into a normal receptacle, tie the included weight to the bulb, and throw it overboard. All you've got to do, just make sure it's deep enough to not get hit with props or anything but baits and hooks can ruin the wires/bulbs

There is a brand called "underwatergreenfishinglights" that makes a more powerful bulb and setup. Even in dirty fresh water it's visible from across the lake, here's one of theirs. It's pretty impressive but it's more expensive.

I make these things but I tire of building up the waterproof lights. So I will buy the replacement light from these guys. I build up the 1000 watt 80,000 lumen models.

The underwater lights are really cool looking and give you fish swimming around your dock.

However, if you’re mostly concerned with fishing at night and catching those fish, an overhead light will yield better results on a more consistent basis. I feel very confident about that.

We've found this too. Fish are more likely to scatter after one is caught from a green light for some reason as opposed to an old school halogen bulb setup mounted to a piling

I do have both. It's been a struggle lately over the lights. But man, during the early spring, the fishing is awesome. At this time I mostly see gar swimming around. But there is always a movement of fish shallow during the fall.

It's also time for a major refurbish of my brush piles.
