Divorce Question

So a woman in the same field as my wife, and whose office is just down the street, just recently divorced. Earlier this year she spent 5 nights in jail for contempt of court (divorce). At at lunch and learn last Friday, she told my wife's staff that "he got everything, even my disability and daughter's college fund". Not true really, she still has the house and land currently assessed at over a million, plus frontage on US29 worth 500k .
So, she was by far the major breadwinner all of their marriage and brought family money in as well, he just dabbled in real estate from what I could tell.
What could she have done that gave him, according to her, "everything"?
She's dog ugly. Loudmouthed, (hard of hearing) butch haircut. No man would give her a second look, so I'm ruling out an affair.

If i had to guess, she tried to hide assets or income.
Actually, I doubt it was that, he would have gotten more if that happened. If he got the daughters college fund and her disability though, i would love to know because that doesn't really make too much sense.

no no no. we're just trying to figure out what she could have done, OTHER than an affair that would give the ex so much of what she earned over the years. emotional abuse? 2 sides to every story and this one would be a whopper, I think.

How does someone work a job and get disability payments? I thought disability was for when you couldn't work?

You can work a little on disability. You just can't earn over a certain amount.
