Delta Force (F2P) - Out now for all platforms (PC, Xbox Series S|X, PS5)

It's basically Battlefield Lite if you strictly player the Warfare mode.
you get:
Warfare Model - "Battlefield Lite"
Operations Mode - extraction looter/shooter
Black Hawk Down - DLC/campaign
Delta Force (PSN)
Delta Force (Xbox)
it's supposed to be free to play, but i don't know how to download it without pre-purchasing the special preorder pack.

Most excited about the extraction shooter mode... anybody play it? How does it feel?

haven't checked it out yet, but Warfare was pretty fun last night with some console friends of mine. we might check out the extraction mode tonight.
for a free game, it's pretty polished.
eta: the menus leave a lot to be desired, but so does Battlefield and CoD.

Was going to download this yesterday but the console reviews were brutal...

I tried it and it was pretty bad. Maps aren't very thought out. Graphics are decent. I'd rather just wait for BF6. It's like a dollar general version of battlefield.

anybody put in any significant time into this game? my friends seem to like the Warfare mode, but i can't get anyone into the Operations mode. that's a very niche mode that has a small audience apparently.

I was looking forward to this but on Xbox its pretty terrible. In BHD the lean buttons arent even available at default and you cant add them without getting rid of some other button function. When you die (which is often) the entire game re-loads to the title screen. The multiplayer feels like a cheap mobile version of Battlefield. Even 2042 is better imo.

that's unfortunate to hear. a couple of friends on PS5 seemed to have been enjoying themselves at least with the Warfare mode.
BHD doesn't even install with the rest of the game apparently. its considered DLC so you have to install separately.
they won't touch the Operations mode. i think they don't have the chest for an extraction-based mode.
the "cheap mobile version" comment seems to be the most common opinion i've read, but to be fair, there is a mobile version that has cross-progression across mobile/PC/consoles so it probably stems from that quite a bit.
it plays well enough on PC for me to enjoy until BF6 comes out.
