Arizona is a bad…as in not good…football team.

I found a cassette tape in my closet a while back and decided to listen to it to see what was on it. One entire side was Jim Henderson and Archie’s radio broadcast of the second half of the game versus the Cardinals in the mid-90’s. The Saints were winless at that point and for good reason. You could clearly hear fans near the press box making jokes and insults at the Saints. A Cardinal RB had a great day with 2 TD runs over 50 yards. The broadcasters had no problem saying how bad the Saints were.

I have no idea why I taped it or why I kept the tape so long.

Hmmmmmm……

I used to listen to Hap and Buddy D’s shows almost every game day on WWL.

Mr. Hap would never push back on any caller, no matter how much sunshine they pumped. He wouldn’t always agree but he wouldn’t argue.

Buddy D was the opposite. No matter how badly the Saints played, sunshine pumpers would call in and Buddy would call them “squirrels.” He had lived through too many bad seasons and wanted to hold the organization and players accountable. I think he would not be welcome to post here by many regular posters.
