He broke into home in Zachary to see 14 yr old and killed her father. Happened in Zachary. Remember this one well. It was a second story window. He used a ladder to crawl into her room. Father caught him and struggle occurred and he shot the guy.

On July 18, 2021, 34-year-old Dezmon Hamilton was shot and killed in his home. Police said that Nicholas Mcquirter, then 17, climbed through the second story of Hamilton's home to see his 14-year-old daughter.

The now 21-year-old Mcquirter pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and illegal use of a weapon. Mcquirter originally faced second-degree murder charges before Tuesday's plea.
Mcquirter was released on bond and must serve five years of supervised probation. Judge Collette Greggs added that McQuirter will stay with his mother with an enforced curfew of 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

McQuirter's attorney, Ryan Bealieu, says he feels the judge's ruling is going to hold McQuirter accountable. "I think she's gonna hold him accountable and keep his feet to the fire regarding his probation, but I just, I just think everyone involved, and again, all of my sincerest condolences to the family," he said.

Was he invited by the daughter?
17 and 14 is gross but technically legal.
Dad goes to kick his arse and he shoots the dad.
i could see manslaughter for imperfect self defense but negligent homicide? If the teen brought the gun?

No, it’s not. Or if it is now it’s been changed from how it used to be.

So the lowest level of statutory rape is carnal knowledge of a minor
that’s between 1 part who is 17 or older and one part whom is over 13 but under 17 AND there is more than a 4 year age gap.
quote:
A. Felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile is committed when: (1) A person who is seventeen years of age or older has sexual intercourse, with consent, with a person who is thirteen years of age or older but less than seventeen years of age, when the victim is not the spouse of the offender and when the difference between the age of the victim and the age of the offender is four years or greater;
I still remember this from the Jeremy Hill days. he was turned 18 which is why he got in trouble.
