I think I screwed up when seeding a few bare areas

I leveled my gardens and seeded with La Prima bermuda about 1.5 months ago. I should have waited a couple weeks so the weeds could germinate and get hit with round up before seeding.
This was it a couple of weeks ago.
I now have one hell of a nutsedge/purslane outbreak. The purslane is starting to choke out the bermuda. I broke down and hit the purslane with MSM on Sunday since it was starting to flower. Hopefully I don't damage the young grass too much. I didn't pull all the purslane weeds out of the garden for the last couple of years because my wife likes it. I didn't realize the shitstorm of weeds it would cause

I’m not sure it matter how much you pre-spray, seems like the weeds from seeding bare ground are always out of control.
Good news is the Bermuda is pretty resilient and you have a lot of options for treatment. 6 weeks is about the earliest you could spray, so it should be okay.
At one point I found a document that detailed the safe timeline for treatment of various chemicals on various turf seedlings. Haven’t been able to find it again despite a few different searches.

I'm hoping so, if not I'll just order another bag of seed. I've pretty much whipped the weeds in the rest of my yard so it's driving me crazy looking at them.

it is bermuda. Do you really need to seed again? Just kill the weeds and keep the bermuda happy. It will spread and choke out future weeds w/out any new seeding.

No, I could have just plugged it but that's no fun. I want to see how this seed does and if I like it I'm going to nuke my front yard and use it there.

Purslane is a bitch. Any little fragment can root and spring up a new plant.
On the plus side it's edible and a pretty nice addition to a salad.
