Is anyone else having issues? I went from Directv to my antenna and same thing. Just curious

Ch 9 in BR (via YouTubeTV) looks great. Very sharp.

It’s really bad. Came here to see if anyone else complained. It was bad on YouTube TV so I checked OTA and it was just as bad. Fox quality has always been bad, but this seems even worse than usual.

The biggest issue has always been compression on local channels. They are trying to squeeze too many sub channels on local channels and using a 30 year old codec to deliver TV signals.

ATSC 3.0 will help with some of the issues with compression since it can use newer codecs, but has it’s limitations since it hasn’t been widely adopted yet on the consumer side and some of the broadcasters are trying to force encryption in the video making it tough pill to swallow for consumers and manufacturers.
