So awesome when it was released. I learned that it was possible to wear out a CD.

1. New Order, “Fine Time”

Born in the early 80's and I've never heard this song. How is that possible if it was #1? It's not particularly memorable, upon first listen. Just sounds like typical 80's synth rock.

if I remember correctly the person didn’t even realize you named the song probably because they didn’t recognize it and obviously never heard it

He wrote
quote:

One of Kate's weaker tunes

to cover up the fact he wasn't actually a KB fan. Probably never heard of her until stranger things

It’s off my favorite New Order album, which didn’t come out until 1989. I love every song on Technique but Fine Time isn’t close to the best song on the album.

Still gets better as it ages. I still randomly throw this one on for a listen.

I agree. I think Round and Round or Vanishing Point might have even been a bigger club hit off of that album. Love Less or Guilty Partner lean back into Joy Division sound. Saw them at Astro World that tour.

I can't seem to find Surfa Rosa by Pixies and Travelling Wilburys Vol. 1.
Also:

quote:

15. Public Enemy, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
21. Dinosaur Jr, Bug
26. Metallica, …And Justice For All

Too low.

Very true. Dream Attack is the hidden gem off that album. My favorite New Order song. For me, it’s the refinement of all the things I love about New Order, rolled into one song. Lyrically, vocally, instrumentally. The 2 minute outro is fantastic.

And, This Woman's Work is the best use of a song in a movie, ever.
