Staying in Holborn next month, have our itinerary mostly booked but I’m looking for some places to eat in case we are tired at the end of the day and just want to grab something close to the hotel.

Would be a plus if it were a place that didn’t require reservations too far out as these may be a little spur of the moment. Open to any kind of cuisine.

All I’ve got is Punjab, an Indian restaurant. Casual but very good. Or at least it was the times I went. It’s been a while though. You might check the reviews.

I'm going in a few weeks. Seven Dials Market is nearby, which may work for the whole "I have no clue what I want to eat right now" crowd.

Download the Michelin app. Its a game-changer. Bib gourmands are often walk in and cheaper.

As mentioned Seven Dials is close, so Hawksmoor is an option and there are some really good places around Neal's Yard (The Barbary is great, reservation is best but maybe pop in with two). Barrafina has a location on Drury Lane (only been to the one on Dean Street but its excellent).

Try The Eagle for classic pub food, Homeslice for big pizza slices, or BaoziInn for cheap dumplings. If you don’t mind a short walk, Flat Iron is great for steak but expect a queue.

There is a Noble Rot up there. Great restaurant/wine bar hybrid thing. The Ship Tavern and Cittie of Yorke for old school pubs. Second Barrafina. St. John’s not far. Honey & Co.
