Had discussion in my office - they said nobody plays tennis anymore - only pickleball. I'm 50 but - tennis for me

Have a neighbor and we played tennis every once in a while but it was a couple of years since we last played. He needed some stints put in and lost a bunch of weight to get heart healthy. Saw him walking the neighborhood and asked him if he wanted to play some tennis. He told me not really but is playing pickleball now. As a tennis player it pissed me off and a principle thing since it seems pickleball is for fattys or recovering cardiac patients.
