Caney Lake - November Trip

Got a lodge rented for a mid-November trip. 6 buddies going for a week. I've never fished Caney but have been watching a few YouTube videos. Problem is they're all Spring-time videos.
I'm assuming because it will be basically winter that the fish will be offshore. Deep cranking would be the move? Maybe some big soft plastics? Anybody ever fish it during that time of year that can offer some tips?

Truth be told, that's why they chose mid-Nov. Lake would be less populated.

Will largely depend on weather. If we get a cold front and high pressure you might as well drink and play cards.
If we have some consistent mild stable weather I would fish creek channels 6-10 ft soft plastics and crank baits.

Fish will be holding in large groups on creek channels. If you scope jiggling a minnow will be a great tactic. 10xd crankbait, Carolina rig, also will be good choices. Bass will be feeding on bar fish. Have the opportunity to catch alot
of bass and some fat mommas gorging on bait. The colder the better. I find nov-jan to be the best m months to fish caney

Don’t forget the baby bass super flukes. Fun times.

November is actually a good bass fishing time unless you get wrecked by a cold front, most don't know because they switch to hunting.
Bass will be pushing shad up in the shallow coves when the sun warms up, find grass on windy areas.
Here's a Louisiana Sportsman article published today (I think) about Fall fishing Caney.
"What is 29 inches long, weighs 10 pounds and is just “warming up” for the winter? It, and many more like it, are Caney Lake largemouth bass."

Dont go now. Fished two straight days. Probably 20hrs in total Saturday and today. Not a bite. Nothing. Nada, zip. Never experienced such a bad trip. I guess I all the sudden suck at fishing.
